Responsibilities

The Driver performs a variety of activities related to the transportation of residents. Some responsibilities include:

  •    Responsible for the transport of residents in a safe and professional manner to all officially assigned destinations, appointments, and shopping trips as scheduled. Makes no unscheduled side trips
  •    Responsible for keeping vehicles and equipment maintained, ensuring that the vehicle has all necessary supplies
  •    Responsible for vehicles documented scheduled routine maintenance
  •    Maintains vehicles a clean condition inside and out at all times. This includes regular washing, vacuuming and cleaning of windows
  •    Maintains vehicle mileage and trip logs

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred
  • Two years experience as a driver with a Commercial Passenger Bus license free of violations
  • Familiar with geographical area
  • Good time management skills; dependable and reliable
  • Ability to follow direct written and oral instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, provide instruction and train other employees as required
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
