Reporting to the Chaplain the Associate Chaplain provides a full ministry of pastoral care and spiritual support within NLCS community. This includes performing a full range of professional chaplain assignments in a full- functioning capacity. Considerable independent judgment is used to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have significant impact on services or programs provided to residents and family members. Some responsibilities include: - Together with the Chaplain, provides immediate and long-term care of the spiritual needs and concerns of residents. The Utility Staff will performs a wide variety of complex and routine tasks in the preparation, service and delivery of food products and/or service of dining services operations. Some responsibilities include:   - Organize and facilitate the QAPI Committee meetings by guiding discussion around performance measures, and prioritizing and developing quality efforts. - In collaboration with the QAPI Committee, create QAPI objectives. - Design a process for and conduct an evaluation of QAPI efforts (at least annually). - Develop policies, processes and protocols as needed, utilizing input from appropriate stakeholders, to ensure effectiveness and compliance of QAPI program. - Lead and coordinate organization wide activities aimed at successful surveys and other quality/regulatory standards as recommended by the QAPI Committee. - Coordinate QAPI activities in close collaboration with the NLCS Compliance Officer, Corporate Compliance team, and leadership teams. - Perform field based and software based audits, aggregate and summarize results and make recommendations based on findings. - Ensure that the QAPI Program is data-driven and implemented company-wide; defining data elements to be captured for ongoing organizational quality assessment and performance improvement of resident- level outcomes; and collecting, aggregating and reporting of data for ongoing organization-wide quality assessment and targeted performance improvement efforts. - Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations and consultation with leadership, staff, consumers, caregivers and families, and other stakeholders. - Encourage staff member involvement in QAPI. - Coordinate with Leadership Team to ensure QAPI efforts are integrated into all operations and departments, including staff responsibilities. - Communicate regularly on the progress of QAPI work to leadership and staff, including the progress of performance improvement projects. - In cooperation with the Human Resources and Education Departments, develop and modify orientation programs for all new staff as indicated based on trends and findings with focus on positive resident outcomes. - Monitor resident outcomes through comparison of MDS data, customer satisfaction surveys, KASPER reports, community database, and Nursing Home Compare.
